it's yet another waste of space, not even worth the drive to go look at it..... what the fuck is it going to take to get a halfway decent indoor park in kansas city?

it's just west of I-35 on 67th.... 6901 is the address. bmx and big bikes allowed. not worth it, nothing is transition except the quarters on each end, mini ramp is too small, no box jump, just a bunch of really low pyramids, and like one london gap. it's the biggest pile of shit ever..... I won't even congratulate them on the try.

Maybe you should tell this guy? "Please contact Corey Arnold at 913-579-6748 for further information."

yeah corey is pretty much a dumbass, dennis mccoy offered to help him design the new park layout(in case not everyone knows, dennis own DMC productions, the company that sets up, designs, and builds the dew tour parks), but corey never called him back. Myself, as well as several of the bmx kids I know also called and offered to help layout and even help build the new park..... no phone calls returned. I even had sponsorship money lined up and waiting for him, did he ever call me back, NO. As far as I'm concerned he has shunned the bike community, and basically given us the big FU. His park can burn down for all I care. Does he not realize that in order to have a successful indoor park, you HAVE TO MAKE KIDS WANT TO RIDE THERE INSTEAD OF A PUBLIC PARK. With the current layout, having more than about 15 people in there overcrowds the place since there are really only two, maybe three lines through the middle of the park. Obviously, if a shit hole like Joplin can have a badass indoor park, that makes a ton of money, and hosts one of most popular bmx contests in the ENTIRE country, KC should be able to at minimum support a good park.

Corey can shove that piece of shit right back up his ass.

side note: if you couldn't tell, i'm pretty pissed off about the whole thing....

Yeah I can understand your frustration. I'd like to see a real, bike friendly indoor park opened in KC. Why hasn't Dennis opened one? He's got the connections and the know how. Funding could be a small problem, but I doubt that he/we couldn't get enough sponsors in on it to get it going.

he's just super busy, during the spring in summer he's hardly ever back in KC, maybe after he retires.... this is his 25th year as a pro.

How much funding does it really take to start a small indoor park? Hell Kirt Voreis has a nice little park in his GARAGE! There is plenty of space in the west bottoms and in North East. Surely someone wants to get their name out there?

I know I know! Much easier said than done.

it can cost upwards of a couple hundred thousand to build a decent indoor park, Dan Walker, a local bmx rider was getting together the money for a park, not including rent the cost of building a location, he had figured he would need 400K just to open and make it worth the time.... with additional 200k for an addition.

BUT, there is nowhere near that amount of money into KCindoor... i would bet there is less than 10k in that place.... and corey works for a lumberyard.

You said "was". Does that mean he is no longer? You can build an outdoor park for $250K! Hell another 50K and you can build an outbuilding around it.

What about Vans or woodward? They have parks all over. Anyway, I am getting way over my ability to follow through. I'll stop now because it's just talk.
